Muvhango Cast and Crew Unpaid Following SABC2 Suspension of Show, Fans reacts

The cast and crew of the long-running South African TV drama Muvhango are reportedly still awaiting their May salaries, following the sudden suspension of the show by SABC2. The drama, produced by Word of Mouth Pictures, was pulled off-air without any public explanation, leaving the production team in financial and professional limbo.
According to a report by industry insider @TVwithThinus, the production team was informed that SABC had not made payment to the producers, which is why salaries have not been disbursed:
“𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. The @SABCPortal abruptly stops airing new remaining episodes of the cancelled @MuvhangoSA episodes on @SABC_2, without explanation. Cast & crew of Word of Mouth Pictures say they were not paid end of May. Producers told them they were not paid by the SABC.”
The abrupt halt comes just weeks after a similar situation occurred with the cancellation of 7de Laan, further raising concerns about internal mismanagement at the public broadcaster.
“The @SABCPortal’s utter trainwreck with @MuvhangoSA on @SABC_2 is following the same derailment as when 7de Laan got cancelled. After there were suddenly no Muvhango episodes for Thursday or Friday, the Saturday omnibus was also removed,” the source added.
So far, SABC has not issued an official statement to clarify the situation or address the unpaid salaries.
Fans React with Disappointment and Outrage

As the silence from SABC continues, industry insiders and fans alike are demanding answers and a fair resolution for the Muvhango team.
